Spring Hill Chargers

06/09/2014 - Richmond ends Spring Hill run

The Richmond Royal ended the Spring Hill Chargers hopes of an unbeaten season with a 4-1 in at
Richmond this afternoon.

The Richmond battery of Ben Schroeder and Cole Schmitz played a significant role on the win. As a battery they were able to keep Spring Hill off stride holding the Chargers, who were hitting .374 as team against SCL opponents to just four hits.  Schroeder struck out 11 in the game.  Brent Ruegemer had three hits for the Royals.  Schmitz also helped offensively. His sixth inning two-run home run broke a 1-1 tie and keyed a three-run rally for the Royals.

Spring Hill’s top hit was double by Grant Schoenberg in the ninth inning.
