RICHMOND – Ben Schroeder allowed four hits and struck out 11 in the complete-game victory for Richmond.

Brent Ruegemer went 3-for-4 for the Royals (4-3). Adam Backes, Shane Rausch and Cole Schmitz all added two hits and Schmitz banged a two-run home run.

Grant Schoenberg doubled for the Chargers (5-1).
