New Munich qualified for the 15C championship game with a 4-1 win over Spring Hill. The Silver-Streaks scored two in the second after Nick Stangler doubled and Jon Gaebel singled. An infield error loaded the bases and allowed Stangler to score. After Will Funk’s sacrifice fly New Munich led 2-1. They added two runs in the sixth inning on RBI singles from Rademacher and Joe Stangler. The performance of the game came from pitcher Ty Reller who struck out nine in the complete game victory, allowing three hits, two of them singles by Eric Terres. Reller, gave up an unearned run in the first inning. Terres singled and Jamie Terres reached on a one out error. Reller hit the next two batters to force in a run.After that he faced only 17 batters until Eric Schoenberg singled in the seventh inning. The play of the game came from Rademacher, who reached over the left field fence to rob Shawn Schoenberg of a home run.

 

“I just kept going back, Chad (Funk, New Munich shortstop) yelled for me to go back to the fence,” said Rademacher. “I was able to time it and caught it to pull it back in.” Chad Funk, Rademacher and Joe Stangler all had two hits for New Munich. Spring Hill starter Brent Terres was charged with the loss. Brandon Worms, drafted from Greenwald by Spring Hill, pitched two perfect innings in relief.
